Invisible Inc (Video Game)
Requested characters: Any in tagset. (But who's in the tagset, you may wonder? Basically all of them.)
Canon promo!
- First meetings: meetcute, meet-ugly
- I love it when characters who don't care about each other that much wind up in situations where they cannot help but care a little
- AUs where something is different (e.g. roleswap, or superpowers, or coffee shops, or alternate first meetings)
- Underestimated agents being terrifyingly effective in the right circumstances (yes this is about Banks and Xu)
- Any agent dealing with their coworkers' messy romantic drama
- Central being Done(TM) with any of them
- Literally anything involving the drama of captured, presumed dead (but really alive) and rescued agents: the moment of capture, or the moment when central operations finds a lead on them, the moment where they're tracked down and sprung free, the (potentially very reserved and reluctant) hurt/comfort on the jet
- Free hyperspecific prompt for you: an MIA agent is presumed dead when the agency gets misleading/incorrect intelligence that says they were moved to one of the corporate HQs... shortly before Incognita nuked them from orbit
- Post-canon exploration of how the agency recovers and continues its operations
- My favourite ships are Dr. Xu/Decker, Dr. Xu/Sharp, Decker/Internationale, Olivia/Rush, and Prism/Shalem 11, but you can write any ship you like if you feel the inspiration

Betrayal at Krondor (Video Game)
Requested characters: Gorath, Owyn (gift must feature one or more)
- Fixit where Gorath lives!!! I think it would be interesting to see him try to finish his mission of achieving some kind of peace where the moredhel don't get completely shafted in terms of territory. Feist really compared the geopolitical situation of the moredhel to the forced displacement of the Native Americans and then did basically nothing interesting with the parallels he put in there on purpose! But fanfiction can do better <3. Anyway I think it would be hilarious to put Gorath, Owyn, James, Locklear, Liallan and Prince Arutha in the same room/tent/neutral ground location and see what happens.
- Character conflict, character contrast! Getting to understand each other better
- Underestimating the other in some respect and then learning better
- Gorath vs. His Past, also Gorath vs. wanting to save his people who do not want to be saved (or not with his methods of peace and bitter reconciliation), Gorath vs. his ex wife
- Owyn vs. not truly fitting in with the institutions for mastering magic (but mastering magic anyway)
- I would love to see Owyn getting a moment to really shine and come into his own. I love that he fails to thrive in structured magic education but becomes an incredibly powerful magician while solving riddles and fighting murderous Nighthawks, moredhel, and Timirianya snakepeople cultists, there's something there about the way rigid forms of learning can be restrictive and close off possibilities for innovation, especially given how recent the practice of Greater Path magic is on Midkemia. This was obviously never going to happen in the books given the chronology of when what was written, but at one point during the Serpentwar Saga, Pug comes to the galaxy brain realisation that Lesser Path magic and Greater Path magic are really the same thing and you can master both, and I always thought it should have been Owyn to unlock that through the sheer power of determination, learning on the fly, and breaking the rules that never worked for him in the first place.
- Gorath's Returning at Elvandar but treated narratively as a weird, concerning and kind of messed up thing as it should be (I will spare you my usual hot take essay on why Returning magic is actually brainwashing). It's hard to think of a character who would be more hurt by a magical change that means he abso-fucking-lutely can never ever go home again because regardless of his personal politics or decisions, he is now visibly one of the Enemy. Realistically I feel like that would break him, and in light of that, the canonical MCD might almost have been a mercy? Anyway, this could be super involved or something short and sweet and h/comfy involving Owyn being increasingly concerned that Gorath is different/off somehow.
- I would also love something focused on Gorath interacting with James  - they interact fairly little in the game, but what's there is so promising, especially James being forced to trust Gorath so quickly despite his mistrustful nature! I'd love something that focuses on more of this dynamic, especially since James has Great Uprising Trauma (to put it glibly) as the war and the trip to Armengar and the escape from it was such a major event in his teenage years. They were on opposite sides of the same conflict, possibly on the same battlefield at some point, and that's so juicy to me.
- And speaking of trauma, BaK is set 10 years after that whole deal, which is like... a month in dog years elf years. I've always wanted to see something about the miscommunication and lack of understanding between the party members based on different perception of time. It's not that Gorath isn't naturally moody and taciturn because I'm sure he is, but, like, arguably still being in mourning from the war that decimated his people probably doesn't help.
- The game drops the lore morsel that Gorath might be half-human (?!!!) on one (1) random gravestone and if you feel like doing more with this, you're welcome to!
- Gorath/Owyn as an incredibly fraught situationship. I feel like Gorath is one of those characters so used to self-denial (he grits his teeth and reaches out to his worst enemy to achieve his vision of peace while accepting this means most of his family now wants him dead, for crying out loud) that it would take colossal amounts of plot contrivance or extraordinary circumstances to make him budge from that position of "There might be a connection here but I am not going to do anything about it." I would enjoy seeing those extraordinary circumstances or plot contrivance! :) Actually, if you want to make it super gutpunchy, you could even combine it with the "Gorath's Returning portrayed as wrongful brainwashing" prompt above.
- But honestly you can do whatever. This game is very special to me on a personal level and I've accumulated a lot of ideas for it in decades of hyperfixation, but honestly I'll just be happy to get new fic for it!

The Changeling - psychomachia (Original Works fic)
Requested characters: Worldbuilding, Alder, James, Feldspar (gift must feature at least one)
- Link to canon
- I would just love to see this world explored: fairy court politics, city politics (especially the whole magic vs. technology struggle, the exclusivity between augmentations and Changes)
- Feldspar & James becoming thick as thieves
- Relationship-centric Alder/James where they figure out the new status quo!
- I just think it would be sexy if James saved Alder from a silver bullet or something like that.
- James testing out his powers! also what James gets up to when he's on the Edges and how that works

Neuromancer (1984 novel)
Requested characters: Henry, Molly Millions, Wintermute (gift must feature at least one)
- I would love post-canon stuff (maybe something with a One Last Job plot, where Wintermute gets the team together again and maybe it's disastrous or maybe it's just weird)
- Canon-divergent AU would also be fun! You're welcome to bring in (e.g.) inspirations from the screenplay plot elements if you want
- One of my favourite parts of the novel is chapter 4 and the entire infiltration of Sense/Net with Molly on the ground and Case assisting while sharing her sensorium. It's just so tight, so actiony, so satisfying to read. Molly is a scene-stealer no matter what she does. I would love more of this.
- I would also love some of the exact opposite: I love the trope when characters are forced out of their comfort zone and into the other character's, forced to do each other's jobs. Maybe Molly isn't necessarily going to be a matrix jockey, but she could be in a similar operator/comms/tactical support/eye in the sky role while Case is the one who needs to do something physical with his squishy non-actiony cyberspace hacker body. For example, maybe they get bad intel and the locations of key objectives for a job were actually switched around.
- Case/Wintermute and Case going full transhumanist if you know what I mean. (Okay, I actually mean "tackling the question of what sexual orientation and attraction even means outside of meatspace", which is not exaaactly the same thing as transhumanism, but...)
- I would love to see a lot more of Wintermute and Molly. What is their dynamic like? She at one point makes fun of Case for not being more curious about AIs, but how would she deal in that actual situation?
- Molly Millions: The Early Days of being a razorgirl would be great.

The Red Strings Club (Video Game)
Requested characters: Brandeis, Donovan, Akara-184, Worldbuilding (gift must feature at least one)
- 3-hour and change-long cinematic Let's Play
- Pre-canon, especially Brandeis and Donovan first meeting. Brandeis having that special drink at the bar for the first time. How long did it take Brandeis, Freelance Hero and Definite Lawbreaker, to trust Donovan? What about vice versa?
- Pre-canon: that time Donovan's interactions with Proxyma got him with broken knees and an implant-rejecting virus
- Post-canon fallout or fixit, for example Donovan's grief or him trying to do something about Akara after all, maybe teaming up with Proxyma? Or ultimately deciding to do nothing?
- Canon teases at Akara/Donovan but doesn't go further than establishing Akara's weird obsession with him. Feel free to take it further!
- The supernatural: Between Gost's whole thing, the soul nodes, the Numen, and Donovan's apparent inability to leave the Club (which is downright implied to be immortality of some kind - he can win a game of Russian Roulette and apparently looks quite a bit younger than he is), Red Strings Club leans more towards urban fantasy than most cyberpunk media, and that's so unique and fascinating. I would love to see something that delves into this a bit more and recreates that feeling of uneasy wonder in the midst of a high-tech world.
- Proxyma's hacktivism: that group is so intriguing and we see so little of them. Brandeis seems to be on friendly terms with them, but not officially part of the group. I'd love to see anything involving them pre-canon, or even trying to come to terms with things post-canon. A post-canon exploration of Proxyma reacting to the climax of the game would be super interesting - feel free to make your own call on what choices were made by the player there.

Blackwell Series (Video Game but this time point-and-click)
Requested characters: Rosangela Blackwell, Joey Mallone (gift must feature at least one)
- Please feel free to retcon the series ending or otherwise run with an everyone lives!AU if you want! Joe can be alive or still dead, whatever you like.
- This fandom feels perfect for a casefic told in a mix of formats: for example, Rosa and Joe solving another ghost case as told through a mix of emails, scrapbooks and journal entries, a conspiracy board (could be as simple as post-its), in-universe instructions for some kind of ghost-summoning ritual, complaint form (probably about Rosa, LBR, but maybe about someone she's investigating), etc.
- I would love a plotline where Rosa actually tells a human friend about her whole thing and they believe her. Or maybe she could make friends with another medium
- I would particularly love IF! There's something so satisfying about IF fanfics for a canon that's already interactive media :)
- It would be fun if Joe could use the computer. (If you're going with post-canon fixit, maybe he either gets resurrected or stays a ghost but gets a power-up and is able to physically touch keys if he works for it.) Imagine all of the above, but with Joe.

There Is No Antimemetics Division (webnovel)
Requested characters: Eli Moreno, Adam Wheeler, Marion Wheeler, Worldbuilding (gift must feature at least one)
- link to canon
- Honestly I would just like to have more fic filling in the TINAD blanks. The TINAD verse is ripe for various kinds of interesting lost media, much of it often implying that the sources got disappeared by antimemetic anomalies
- Unconventional format would be so fun here. I would love the discovery of new antimemetic anomalies (past or present timeline) as documented through various formats like interview transcripts, journal excerpts, classified documents, spreadsheets (more on this below), maybe even in-universe creepypastas!
- Spreadsheets and expense reports: some tie-in stories in the TINAD verse have personnel expense reports come up as one of the clues that the Division is slowly shrinking/being eaten. I love drama told through dry bureaucracy and the creeping horror of understanding what the numbers mean, and I'd love more of this.
- 'and we guard the little fire' by kubernetes: this is great. I would love to have more exploring this addition to the world: fic remix, scientific documents or attempts at publishing findings about this. More broadly I'd love to see more 'natural' phenomena around both antimemes and antimeme countermeasures (i.e. information storage and record-keeping) and attempts at classifying them.
- I would love to see more about existing canon antimemetic agents or a cool new one you come up with! As far as I'm concerned, the Worldbuilding character is carte blanche for you to explore whatever part of Antimemetics Division history or operations you like :)
- The Alastair Grey Kill Agent story is still one of my favourites for a reason. The dawning horror of finding out just how many other people it's killed, and everything they tried to do to survive, is amazing. I'd love to see more of that same flavour of storytelling, maybe told through unconventional writing formats like journal entries, post-its, a conspiracy wall in a Vegas Room, etc.

Tactical Breach Wizards (rounding things off with another Video Game)
Requested characters: Dessa Banks, Rion (gift must feature all)

- Link: a great Let's Play that showcases the story very well
- Rion & Dessa as the ultimate worsties <3. I would just love to see more of these two and their weird odd friendship(?)
- Idea: something post-canon, maybe teaming up to track down and someone else (another member of the gang in trouble?). They both have "Team Ruthless Asshole who cares about people to a point but will cut the Gordian Knot" vibes and I love that.
- Alternately, Rion & Dessa teaming up to be a terrifying team of... hitmen for hire? hitmen with a mission? hitmen helping out Sabin's revolution by taking out key targets?
- Their whole vibe of bonding over poisons: basically more of that please. Also these two comics by waterdroid are generally incredible and also nail how I see them. You're welcome to bounce off them, for example, Rion just mercilessly making fun of Dessa's crush on Jen
- All the AUs! but particularly things like roleswap and allegiance swap and other kinds of canon divergence. What if Dessa ended up on Liv's team while Rion started out as working with Jen and Zan? Or what if they both worked for Liv? (Liv would probably be unstoppable for good, TBH). Or maybe even a canon divergence that leads into the same broad timeline as canon, wherein Dessa rezzes Rion after his attempt to betray Liv. Maybe Dessa was considering walking away from Liv too but only saw an opportunity to do it and survive after Rion makes his move first.
- The vessels! I feel like Dessa giving Rion her vessel, or vice versa, would possibly take multiple business months of trust-building, but I want to see it so badly. What powers would they grant? What would it take to trust each other with it?
- You're also more than welcome to bring in additional members of the gang (or Liv's gang). You are also more than welcome to include or allude to romantic ships, such as Jen/Banks, or Liv/Banks (maybe in a darker timeline AU where Banks was on her team full and proper), or Jen/Sabin or Banks/Sabin.

Hello dear vidder! Here are some optional preferences and visual footage suggestions visual footage that might help.

Neuromancer (Graphic Novel)

The graphic novel has visual footage that the novel does not have and can be found here. Unfortunately the graphic novel only covers part of the novel but you're welcome to incorporate more. There's also lots of fanart to be found on Deviantart (for example). The novel and comic have very strong senses of visual aesthetic in this cyberpunk future and I'd love a video that captures a similar vibe of high-tech dystopia.

Disco Elysium (Video Game)

There's both a lot of official art and a lot of fanart to use for this. I would love something that captures the weird vibe of the game's story, or is kind of melancholy. I love the personal moments you get. You're also welcome to make something about The Pale, or about non-main characters.

Thief (Looking Glass Studios Video Games)

You can find the cutscene videos on Youtube, and older sites like Thief Circle have both official artwork and fanworks uploaded.

Dragonheart [1996 Movie SAFETY]

This is a live-action movie so it has enough footage for a vid, but you're also welcome to incorporate e.g. dragon illustrations into it framed as in-universe art. :)

Parahumans Series - Wildbow

All existing fanvids for this are either animatics or based on fanart. Luckily there's quite a lot of excellent fanart. I recommend starting here and here.

The Fall (Over the Moon Video Games)

Game footage is pretty good for this. There's also a lot of generic or other-canon AI/robot/sci-fi themed art to draw on. :) I nominated the game series but would also be totally happy with something based on just the first game.

The Red Strings Club (Video Game)

Game footage and cyberpunk art would work well here!

Citizen Sleeper (Video Game)

This one is tricky as this game has limited visuals but I'm happy with external generic art for themes of robots, androids, space stations, The Greenway, cyberspace, etc... You can also find one of the official art books here!

Invisible Inc (Video Game)

This one is likewise tricky but between in-game cinematics (available on Youtube), the early access animated trailer, official art, early access and loading screen art, and oodles of fanart, plus generic cyberpunk and AI visuals, there's plenty to use! In-game clips (particularly of dramatic close-ups like agents taking out guards or being overwatched) are perfectly usable too!

Hello dear creator and thank for looking at my letter! :3 This letter is split into a copy of the sign-up details (for convenience) and fandom-specific prompts.

PROMPTS SECTION

Invisible Inc - Fandom Promo here
  • Post-OMNI story about agency recovery or tracking down more MIAs and trying to make it in the new world!
  • Take the two agents you like best and give them a missionfic
  • Take two agents you like and show them meeting prior to working for Invisible Inc. Bonus points if they're at each other's throats or trying to stop each other, I'm a sucker for 'worthy opponent' dynamics. ('Annoyingly persistent PITA who refuses to get lost or die' will also do!)
  • Take the agent you like best and show me how they got recruited and what their adjustment to agency life was like
  • All the Canon divergent AUs: "What if this agent worked for the corps", "What if this formative event in this agent's life went differently", etc.
  • A deeper exploration of the advanced tech the agents use in the infiltrations and any physical or psychological effects it might have. The game suggests they're neurally linked to each other and the Operator for tactical purposes; what does it look like? Do they share visuals, sensations, pain? Or is it more like a very advanced radio? Or potentially both depending on the needs of the situation?
  • Missionfic/heistfic: A tense blitz tactics infiltration in the style of the game, perhaps? You could have a focus on problem-solving, e.g. the scouting and investigative part of the mission - trying to suss out which guards are where, where the target is, and how to circumvent obstacles and make a clean getaway. Alternately, a focus on the emotional stakes: deciding when to call it quits and get out, or making the call of abandoning an agent, disobedience or conflict between an agent and command, etc.
  • Alternately (or maybe in addition to), something more heist movie flavoured: maybe less of a tactical assault team vibe than the in-game missions and more of a focus on the job prep, gathering intelligence prior to entering the field, subverting security in advance (planting bugs? Phishing? Social engineering? Disguises?) You could also make the heist target more esoteric and fancy than what we see in-game: for example, a tech trade fair, a CEO's mansion with valuable art, etc. I'm equally excited about the agency at the height of their operations, pre-raid, or post-raid, trying to deal with a post-Incognita-takeover world and rebuild their operations at the same time from almost nothing, so that every new job really has to yield some profit as they don't have the resources for complete duds, or even worse, losing people
  • Pre-canon: Decker (back when he's still a K&O Chief of Security and working for the corps) trying to track down one of the other agents. Internationale, in her freelancer saboteur days? Banks? Gladstone herself?
    - If you're looking for inspiration on what could make for a fun hook or core concept for a missionfic, I've found it super helpful to take inspiration from extra difficulty and mechanic mods and/or think of a fun scary new security measure the corps could have and show the agents running into that.
  • Tracking down a missing/captured agent! Could be pre-canon or after the OMNI mainframe, when the agency is actively rebuilding.
  • Something deeply personal to one of the agents: Tying up loose ends? Shalem trying to track down a lead related to his mother? Banks trying to fix things in her formerly besieged hometown again?
  • A more classic spies and espionage story involving an undercover agent infiltrating a corp for a prolonged amount of time. For example, Prism, who has the wonderful in-game ability of using holographic disguise rigs!
  • What if Central got a lead that Draco and/or Rush, who she believed lost when the PEIA fell, are still alive and held prisoner somewhere?
  • A tense whodunnit involving a (real or suspected) leak of intelligence from the agency, and Central (or someone else) trying to get to the bottom of which agent might have betrayed them. Maybe set shortly before the raid, if Incognita leaking information to the corps is discovered in advance? Could be canon-compliant (in the end, she's able to keep it a secret) or a full canon-divergent AU (if they figured out what Incognita was up to before she tipped off the corps, how would it play out?) Could even go classic for this one and start with a dead body (an agent who had an "unfortunate accident" in the field because they were getting too close to the truth? Enough to make e.g. Decker or someone else paranoid about how much trust they're putting into the AI?)
  • Basically anything I prompted for this before
  •

Betrayal at Krondor
  • Odd friendships, characters reluctantly building trust, cultural differences, "light is not good" and "dark is not evil" tropes when applied to the moredhel and eledhel, fish out of water trope (whether it's Gorath in the middle of a bustling human city or Owyn struggling to stay alive in the Northlands), subtle/understated whump and angst.<br />
  • "Missing scene" style things set during various points of the story.
  • Pre-canon, such as what Gorath went through before he decided that warning the Kingdom was the only way to stop this war, him having to fight his own kin to make it to the border, etc.
  • Post-canon, focusing on Gorath during the fallout of the events under Sethanon.
  • In the universe lore, dark elves and light elves are essentially cut from the same cloth, what would this look like explored in depth with regards to Gorath? I've always thought there was something deeply sinister about The Returning and the way it's written in the books (REF did not agree with me pfft </3.) It feels a bit like brainwashing doesn't it? A forcible change of allegiance, and for what? If it flips a magical switch from "evil" elf to "good" elf - putting the baggage with that entire concept aside, which we shouldn't TBH - then Gorath kind of seems like a shitty recipient for that sort of thing. He's already doing an unimaginably selfless thing by going the path of the greatest resistance to try and prevent another war; in what way does "Oh you've magically turned into an Eledhel and can never go home to the Northlands because they will try to kill you on sight even more intensely, enjoy being Good now and living in our magical forest where territorial disputes with humans are not a problem, because of magic (✿◕‿◕)" help anyone involved? Would you like to explore this idea a bit more and finish my drawerfic- er, I mean explore the idea of Gorath on Timirianya being a little off after what he goes through in Elvandar, or a completely canon-divergent take on what happens when he goes to Elvandar? )
  • The Great Uprising was only ten years ago, in recent memory - James and Locky were barely teenagers at the time, while Gorath witnessed an engineered massacre of his people and his clan, thrown into the grinder to power the false prophet Murmandamus. The story never quite unpacks all this baggage between them, and barely addresses the aggression of the moredhel in the context of them being a displaced people driven to the Northlands by the Kingdom's expansion, but what if it did?
  • Owyn is one of the more dangerous people in the Kingdom by the time the game is over and none of the others quite know what to do with him. As per the lead game writer, [the sequel that never got made] would have "continued the storyline about Owyn's eventual rise as the magical advisor to the Kingdom of the Isles (to be told over two games) serving in a capacity as both magician and spymaster".
  • Gorath & Owyn vs. Gorath/Owyn... I can't say whether I ship it or not without writing a whole damn essay, and nobody wants that. Suffice to say I would enjoy a & story but I also welcome a fic that sells me on this ship.
  • I no longer recall if this is part of the (messy, novelisation-included) canon or something I decided was just plausible in canon, but consider: Pre-canon, teenaged Jimmy the Hand directly caused the deaths of many of Clan Ardanien, specifically. (The evidence for this goes as follows, IIRC: During the Kingdom troops retreat in A Darkness at Sethanon, he rigs the cellars of Highcastle to explode on the moredhel troops after the Kingdom troops have cleared, and elsewhere - in the game? in the novelisation? who knows at this point - Gorath recollects that he managed to keep his clan from the worst of the damage of the meatgrinder that was Sethanon, but they suffered heavy losses after that, which feasibly could mean the Highcastle incident... anyway, whether I totally hallucinated the canonical basis for this or not, it would be fun if, during canon, they found out how close they came to meeting that day! :')
  • Last prompt but not least, ending fixit! :') While the tragedy of the ending is incredibly impactful, one cannot escape the feeling that Status Quo Is God (and more to the point, fitting the game's plot into the timeline of existing books) was a major factor in it. But from the perspective of Kingdom vs. Northlands politics, it would have been incredibly interesting if Gorath had, you know, made it, right?
  • So, Gorath!lives AU: Gorath & Cullich meeting again, Gorath, Liallan (who seems to assume leadership in the Northlands now) and probably Pug, Arutha, maybe Jimmy & Locky, certainly Owyn, being involved in the kind of tense peace talks that would not have been possible prior to all this
  •

Neverwinter Nights: Mask of the Betrayer
  • Important: for the "All: Knight Captain and Companions" request, I would like something that includes (on some level) all of the potential companions that you can have in your party at the same time: so Safiya, Gann, Kaelyn, and either Okku OR One-of-Many. You do not need to include both Okku and One-of-Many in the same story (although that would be kind of sick) since by default you can only get one but not the other in a given playthrough!
  • A "spared Okku" story where the KC still becomes evil, or a "killed Okku" story where the KC resists the influence of One-of-Many and follows the 'good' storyline, or a mix of both! Lean into those morality struggles!
  • Spirit/dream realm shenanigans. Explorations of trauma, memory & identity loss. History repeating itself.
  • The game shows the way the Hunger affects the KC, but doesn't seem to go into whether the curse has any other effects on their personality/psyche. I mean, their soul is rotting in a wall somewhere! I'd love to see some version of the KC being subtly (or not-so-subtly) fucked up because of this and not knowing why until they learn the truth of the curse, and even then, will lifting the curse really free them from those feelings? How much of it is just trauma, at this point?
  • Whump and h/c welcome. Darkfic welcome. "Bad ending"/monstrous Spirit Eater stuff welcome. Tragic romances that end badly are welcome too. Want to write a heartwrenching tale of the KC eating Okku, being slowly corrupted by One-Of-Many and then eventually devouring the souls of all of their friends? GO FOR IT!
    - As point of fact, feel free to go heavy on the monstrous Spirit Eater stuff in general, bad ending or not. It's just good drama!!!!
  • Random KC/Gann idea: I've always been tickled by the thought of the KC being attracted to Gann-the-Spirit-Shaman-constantly-hanging-out-with-spirits and not knowing if it's romantic/sexual in nature or the Spirit Eater being hungry
  • I like the idea that the KC got badly burned by Bishop and is now a lot more cautious in any new relationship. They sought YOLO-esque comfort in crisis when they thought they wouldn't live to see the next year once before and they regretted it. (That said, I don't have a preference for the gender of the KC in the story or requested ships)
  • Some of my favourite things about the story are the way the strings of fate tie it all together. The connection between you and Akachi, Akachi's companions and you. The way you end up retreading his footsteps, only partially by choice.
  • For the Worldbuilding nom, what about something that explores the life (and death) of a previous Spirit Eater, before the KC came along? 8) Since the KC canonically still has some access to the memories of previous Spirit Eaters, you could still connect this to the main plot if you wanted, such as tapping into a previous Spirit Eater's memories to overcome a situation

Sunless Sea

  • Tireless Mechanic/Captain: I am very weak for the Mechanic's hyper nerd archetype and would love to see more of him and the Captain... such as more Exchange A Secret Smile-style interactions, stolen moments -- or, alternately, a whimsical and wacky courtship! Canon is very straightforward about "propositioning" your officers, heh, but I would love to see some pre-relationship flirtation (or interactions either party is convinced MUST be flirtation, but isn't quite sure), banter, that kind of thing.
  • Soap Opera at Zee! A story that focuses on one (or more!) Officer romances, maybe with some jealousy or love triangle nonsense thrown in. What if the Zee-Captain had a lover in every port, so to speak, or a string of lovers, and this made the Mechanic more determined to get their attention... ;)
  • Alternately, something delving into the Mechanic's backstory with the Fingerkings or otherwise deepening and exploring his subquest! Especially for the & ship. I want to know how he got into that situation, how he found out about Hunter's Keep... but it doesn't have to be pre-canon! What if the Tireless Mechanic fell asleep? (Maybe something that happens while exploring during shore leave?) Gimme conflict!
  • Admiral/Diplomat: This begs for a plotty and emotionally complicated spy intrigue story. I do love spy stuff and intelligence work and conflicting loyalties and getting all cozy with your frenemy so feel free to lean into that as hard as you like :) Maybe something set pre-canon, relating to the events of the Fall of the Admiralty, the New Sequence, the Dawn Machine faction, etc? Or the opposite, exploring them trying to hold on to London as control over it passes to a different faction
  • The Admiral's and Diplomat's POV as they both vie for influence over an intrepid Zee-Captain (or perhaps multiple Zee-Captains)
  • Canon-typical adventures! I'm particularly fond of zee-monsters, shipwrecks, Irem, and all the esoteric ports with their own rules.
  • I have no preferences on the Zee-Captain's gender or backstory/allegiances/etc. Just run with whatever feels most interesting to you. You're also absolutely welcome to feature multiple Zee-Captains and/or horribly kill them off :)
  • I haven't played Zubmariner or Sunless Skies but you're welcome to include content from those games, or the larger Fallen London verse, if you feel it fits
  •

Tactical Breach Wizards
  • Canon-typical investigation or heist/break-in would both be excellent! Or, y'know, both.
  • Dessa Banks and Jen Kellen trying to get their PI agency off the ground would be fun. A string of cases, a lot of which seem like a waste of their time, struggling to find one that actually pays well. Banks using her Unique Skillset for the investigation or maybe figuring out a business model where they can combine investigation and rezzing for a profit. IIRC we see from the epilogue that they offer the service of tracking down missing persons and even bringing them back to life, does this imply Banks at some point is able to rez people who've been dead more than an hour? (An hour is kinda limiting for missing persons purposes, after all!) Oh, and don't forget (optionally) the weird RST and slow-burn and trying to figure out if they LIKE-like each other, maybe. It's the first bit of normalcy they've had since the events of the game so there'd be an interesting adjustment period! Oh, and I'd love to see more of the Druid Mafia and/or Rion involved, especially the Dessa & Rion dynamic. They're just so fun.
  • Speaking of: What if Jen goes missing, and Dessa + Rion (or, alternately, the whole gang) wreak havoc to track her down? Or more generally them teaming up for some mission of personal importance that requires a more ruthless touch
  • Rion & Dall working together to have him assassinate the leader of the Chapel, as per one of his epilogue endings, would also be fun
  • Honestly, feel free to take any character, have them be kidnapped by bad guys (or otherwise mysteriously disappear), and have the rest of the gang track them down
  • Jen first unlocking her Craft! She's the only one whose details we never learn
  • Dessa's Death Door Dimension and its implied time wonkiness lends itself to all sorts of fun time travel shenanigans in fic. Would be fun to see the version of Dessa who gets warned by older Dessa in a dream actually try to traverse canon events with some amount of foreknowledge.
  • More generally, the existence of prophesized alternate universes also makes crazy possibilities fun to explore. I'm so here for Time Loop Fix-It in the form of a character trying to use their foresight to figure out how to escape this!
  • I would enjoy the canon-typical flavour of drama + whimsy humour, but I wouldn't say no to a more serious, pathos-filled tone, either.
  •

Citizen Sleeper
  • The DLC ending where you actively help the Greenway intertwine with the Eye: what does it look like many (many, many) cycles later? Having the station's electrical system connected with the root and mycelium network of the Greenway sounds like brilliant madness, what effects are there further down the line? I'm curious to see a station that is genuinely alive in some manner. (This could also be combined with the 'Sleeper merges with the Gardener' ending!)
  • I'm also very curious about the DLC ending where you actively help the Greenway intertwine with the Eye. What does it look like many (many, many) cycles later? Having the station's electrical system connected with the root and mycelium network of the Greenway sounds like brilliant madness, what effects are there further down the line? I'm curious to see a station that is genuinely alive in some manner. (This could also be combined with the 'Sleeper merges with the Gardener' ending!)
  • The Maywick encounter ends differently: Sleeper ends up being taken into custody along with Ethan (as co-escort? tag-along? prisoner?). Ethan very belatedly develops regrets and a conscience when he sees the even more ruthless way Maywick treats his prisoner
  • Sleeper's search for identity and getting an actual name, probably post-canon. Maybe they've been hanging on and surviving long enough that they actually start to accept that they have some kind of future here (which would be terrifying in a different way).
  • In the game, you encounter another Sleeper who is almost dead and never really make contact with them. I would love to see a second chance at this post-canon: Sleeper is well-established on the Eye when a new Sleeper escapee arrives and they have to deal with a whole new host of problems when trying to protect them (and have to weigh the risk of how much to stick their neck out for them, when alerting the corporations to the fact that they're still alive and out there also puts them at risk)
  • Feel free to take any of the endings and explore them more: maybe Sleeper's life after they leave on the big corporate ship, or Sleeper's new form of consciousness in the Gardener ending (do they remember what came before? maybe they track their old friends and try to help them out in some way, such as helping out Riko, or how they deal with the Flux or a similar threat to the Eye), or they leave with Bliss and Ankhita and continue their adventures elsewhere. Or they stay on the Eye and get locked in a tense struggle for independence against Castor

Crossover Fandom

  • Fusion where they were always set in the same universe: for Citizen Sleeper x Red Strings Club, maybe Sleeper runs into the Club on some big space station or corporate planet. Any character walking into the club to get information (and in turn be grilled for information by Donovan) would be really fun: maybe an Invisible agent is investigating a lead, or Sleeper is looking into the local crime groups to figure out who to get stabiliser from, or bounty hunters are looking for Sleeper, or Jen wants to sniff out how another PI works.
  • Sleeper (CS) gets a job at the Red Strings Club. I.e. they take in a very different android
  • I've long yearned for something involving the Red Strings Club team running interference with an agent from Invisible Inc. trying to do recon in their city. Or, AIs from the two different cyberpunk games butting heads! What if the Invisible Inc. tries to pull a job involving that bar and Incognita or their hackers run up against Brandeis and Akara-184?
  • The premise of Firefly but they're Zee pirates on the run from... the New Sequence, and perhaps with a complicated relationship with the Admiralty? Or the other way around? It could be so good!!!!

Original Work

  • Mistrust warring with attraction and a certain undefinable gravitational pull! What I love about these noir and cyborg-related ships is how they all suggest having an agenda and being at cross-purposes to each other and how much it complicates any feelings that might otherwise more easily be indulged. Character conflict is juicy! Character conflict complicating romantic relationships is even
  • Feel free to make it a little unhealthy - throw in a little blackmail or manipulation, a little pressure, a little push and pull
  • For the noir stuff: a snippet of a murder mystery or some other casefic flavouring would be great. The Homme Fatal is usually a client with a secret, can they be trusted? But you can also flip it on its head and have them come to the detective's aid when least expected
  • For the cyborg/mechanic I'd love something flavoured with transhumanism and navigation of awkward dependencies: both in the literal technological sense and social sense. Also welcome: ruminations on the human form (both literal and wink wink nudge nudge), ship-of-Theseus themes, and the theme of human(oid) ingenuity: as tight as corporate measures get, there will always be people finding shortcuts, tunneling through, jailbreaking things, jury-rigging things, cracking DRMs, increasing access... maybe some of them do it out of ideological convictions about freedom of technology and information, and some of them just want to turn a profit and make a living, or both, it's all good. In that same vein I love it when pragmatic and largely self-interested characters discover a cause and someone/something to protect, in spite of themselves. Some nice juicy low-hanging fruit would be an injured cyborg (who may or may not be an homme fatal who knows I don't make the rules) ending up at the doorstep of the other character in need for help.
  • For cyborg and cyberpunk-flavoured ships in general, regardless of the exact setting, I like a focus on gritty survival and ephemeral, mercenary relationships in the face of an overpowering, ruthless system. Moments of trust and connection, in spite of all that...
  • Don't feel like you need to stick closely to the implied genres: I would absolutely love some futuristic scifi!noir, or IN SPACE, or "19th-early 20th century but there are also cyborgs", or non-Western versions of these settings. Cyberpunk meeting fairytales, fairytales meeting noir, etc. Steampunk twists on the ships or alternate history settings are also welcome.
  • Feel free to mix the requested ships too while you're at it. A noir detective who is ALSO good with tech and repairs? A combat cyborg who is also an homme/femme fatale?
  • I love a good old-fashioned casefic/whodunnit that also has the investigating character discover truths about themselves or find romance!
  • Fairy tale retellings are great. Pick one and make it noir or cyberpunk or both...

Blackwell Series

PROMPTS
  • Please feel free to retcon the series ending or otherwise run with an everyone lives!AU if you want! Joe can be alive or still dead, whatever you like.
  • This fandom feels perfect for a casefic told in a mix of formats: for example, Rosa and Joe solving another ghost case as told through a mix of emails, scrapbooks and journal entries, a conspiracy board (could be as simple as post-its), in-universe instructions for some kind of ghost-summoning ritual, complaint form (probably about Rosa, LBR, but maybe about someone she's investigating), etc.
  • I would love a plotline where Rosa actually tells a human friend about her whole thing and they believe her. Or maybe she could make friends with another medium
  • I would particularly love IF! There's something so satisfying about IF fanfics for a canon that's already interactive media :)
  • List of things Rosa is not allowed to do: fun way to tell about all the places and people she's got restraining orders from because of her cases :D
  • List of things Joe is not allowed to do: they had to have come up with house rules in order to stay sane and maintain boundaries
  • Slow-burn sequel to 'on our way home' by starbridge: yes please?
  • Anything involving Rosa's attempts at novel-writing: in-universe book reviews, in-universe fanworks of her books, etc.
  • In-universe r/Relationships post: look imagine Rosa trying to get advice for her relationship with her 'roommate' and sounding increasingly unhinged and/or codependent when asked to elaborate in any way.
  • In a similar vein: Rosa on r/LegalAdvice trying to vaguely find out just how much trouble she might be in over her habitual breaking and entering, stalking, accessing people's accounts, etc.
  • Ditto: Rosa asking increasingly weird questions on r/AskHistorians to find out more about a particular building's history
  • It would be fun if Joe could use the computer. (If you're going with post-canon fixit, maybe he either gets resurrected or stays a ghost but gets a power-up and is able to physically touch keys if he works for it.) Imagine all of the above, but with Joe.
  • In-universe TTRPG: Rosa finds an online group and plays for both herself and Joe, executing Joe's character's actions for him. He gets extremely into it. She probably eventually gets banned for having alts or sth.
  • An in-universe expense report could be a fun way to show all the ways Rosa is trying to keep the operation afloat
  • Crossword puzzle with cryptic clues feels like a very Blackwell medium (no pun intended... unless)
  • Murdle would be amazing, okay! I'd love it if you made a Murdle about a ghost case
  • Logic Grid puzzle could also be a really fun way to make the reader 'solve' a case!

There Is No Antimemetics Division

PROMPTS
  • Honestly I would just like to have more fic filling in the TINAD blanks. The TINAD verse is ripe for various kinds of interesting lost media, much of it often implying that the sources got disappeared by antimemetic anomalies
  • I would love the discovery of new antimemetic anomalies (past or present timeline) as documented through various formats like interview transcripts, journal excerpts, classified documents, spreadsheets (more on this below), maybe even in-universe creepypastas!
  • For classified documents especially it would be fun to tell a story through redacted text!
  • I love the idea (in a past gift) of a logic grid puzzle being a way to store antimemetically hazardous information without making it obvious (and thus dangerous), but still accessible in an emergency. I'd love more such puzzles or to see this idea used in-universe
  • Nonogram puzzle could also be fun: if the image it reveals is antimemetic or classified :)
  • Spreadsheets and expense reports: some tie-in stories in the TINAD verse have personnel expense reports come up as one of the clues that the Division is slowly shrinking/being eaten. I love drama told through dry bureaucracy and the creeping horror of understanding what the numbers mean, and I'd love more of this.
  • 'and we guard the little fire' by kubernetes ( https://archiveofourown.org/works/61639699/chapters/157576063 ): this is great. I would love to have more exploring this addition to the world: fic remix, art remix, scientific documents or attempts at publishing findings about this, pressed botanicals framed to look like they're related, etc. More broadly I'd love to see more 'natural' phenomena around both antimemes and antimeme countermeasures (i.e. information storage and record-keeping) and attempts at classifying them.
  • I would love to see more about existing canon antimemetic agents or a cool new one you come up with! As far as I'm concerned, WB: Any is carte blanche for you to explore whatever part of Antimemetics Division history or operations you like :)
  • The Alastair Grey Kill Agent story is still one of my favourites for a reason. The dawning horror of finding out just how many other people it's killed, and everything they tried to do to survive, is amazing. I'd love to see more of that same flavour of storytelling, maybe told through unconventional writing formats like journal entries, post-its, a conspiracy wall in a Vegas Room, etc.

Tactical Breach Wizards

PROMPTS
  • First off, canon divergencies and wacky AUs (ranging from "for want of a nail" to "What if this character actually worked for the enemy") are all welcome to facilitate creative fills! Especially for this canon you are also welcome to go nuts on time travel, alternate timeline and Surprise: It Was All a Prophetic Vision shenanigans
  • Two words: COSTUME DESIGN! Begging you for more confidence outfits for the wizards. Or, alternately, low-confidence outfits: show us the sad boring get-up Jen wears to cases when she's not quite feeling up to it. Alternately, something designed for stealth. Or maybe a costume for the version of the character who's affiliated with, say, the Druid Mafia or some other faction. Or maybe for if they're SUPER EVIL!
  • In that same vein, an online dress-up game or a papercraft dress-up doll would be absolutely amazing
  • Stained Glass window art featuring Sabin would be kickass! Or even one for each of the wizards who save Medil and the world, created much to their embarrassment
  • Murdle: I'd love to see Jen or Jen & company solving a mystery together! Could be pre-canon Jen PI days or post-canon, where she's teaming up with Banks. Maybe Rion also helps out - having someone to sniff out danger AND look scary is sure to come in useful!
  • Spell or ritual instructions: need I say more? show me what it takes to get that magic work, or show one of them developing a brand new spell! Pressed botanicals or botanical illustrations could also be involved in this.
  • Conspiracy board: I'd love something very similar to the 'conspiracy board' in the actual game, but in a different context! Maybe for Jen's and Banks's PI cases? Or maybe Rion trying to hunt down one of his hitman targets.
  • Interactive Fiction could be such a canon-flavoured and fun unconventional way to structure a fic. Since I also opt into script format fic, you could write it in the style of the canon dialogues :)
  • Isometric room would be a great format to show the wizard workbenches or living quarters in more detail! For cityscapes, I'd love something showing how different regions look
  • Crossword puzzle with cryptic clues would just be really fun for this
  • Podcast or radio show transcript: maybe something reporting on the team's (or Liv's team's) failures and successes
  • Cocktail or mocktail recipe for each of them would be awesome! Maybe the mocktail could also double as an in-universe magic potion of some kind? Maybe some kind of spell for which you need to recreate the "essence" of a person using cocktail/mocktail ingredients
  • A logic grid puzzle feels like a fun way to translate the puzzle nature of the gameplay to a different format. Maybe you need to "solve" a tactical situation to clear a room, but it's all in the form of clues
  • In-universe mythology: I'd love to see a bit more of what (ancient) history and the Craft looked like in this world
  • The Gang Plays TTRPG!
  • Liv's Gang plays TTRPG. Chaos ensues.
  • Not medium-specific but I'd love to see the Liv & Zan dynamic explored more in whatever format you think works best...
  • Tarot card art would be fantastic <3
  • The thing with Zan vs. Liv and him coming back to the lair to (briefly) find the team wiped out. It's so good ahhh. I'd love anything more about that scene and moment, using Zan's foresight, working through ways he could still (fail) to save them...
  • Rion at work :3( His epilogue options are assassinating the Reactor CEO or assassinating the head of the Chapel in collaboration with Dall and I'd love to see either in more detail. Rion & Dall in particular is a very interesting and underexplored dyanmic
Sunless Sea

PROMPTS
  • I would love something that feels in the style of the game, particularly centered on exploration, horror, or mystery, maybe with a touch of romance
  • For Zee-Monsters and The Wreck of the Nocturne particularly I would love a tight, spooky story of a single exploration trip or encounter. Feel free to have it end tragically if you like!
  • Unconventional formats and mediums are a bonus if you can make it work, doesn't have to be fancy. For example, a ship log or zee-captain journal documenting various locations (canon or of your own invention) with little doodles!
  • Between port reports and the zee shifting every once in a while, there's a lot of flexibility for storytelling in a fun in-universe format and also to bring in new locations beyond what already exists in the zee
  • I haven't played Zubmariner but absolutely wouldn't mind material from it! The same goes for Sunless Skies - if you feel like bringing some of its plots into it will enrich the story, go for it!
  • I'd love a journal of exploration of some distant port told in various formats: expense reports for trade, scrapbooks, local exotic flowers pressed between journal pages, maybe a sketch of a logic puzzle the captain has to solve to keep exploring
  • Classified documents and espionage between different factions!!! Other than documents that self-immolate, what other tricks does the Neath have for the espionage trade?
  • I would just love something involving weapon and ship tool schematics or technical drawings or design specs, potentially involving an Engineering officer or two. Speaking of...
  • The Genial Magician & The Tireless Mechanic sharing a boat would be disastrous or hilarious or both
  • Exhibition catalogue: could be related to one of the treasures you recover from the Zee for your retirement goal
  • I'm tickled by the idea of tourism or travelogues existing in the Neath and some foolish intrepid company in Fallen London trying to make a business out of tourism or advertising various port locations.
  • In-universe forbidden Romantic Poetry would be a fun way to hit the poetry medium!

Citizen Sleeper

PROMPTS
  • More stories involving Sleeper during their time on the Eye
  • Feel free to take any of the endings and explore them more: maybe Sleeper's life after they leave on the big corporate ship, or Sleeper's new form of consciousness in the Gardener ending (do they remember what came before? maybe they track their old friends and try to help them out in some way, such as helping out Riko, or how they deal with the Flux or a similar threat to the Eye), or they leave with Bliss and Ankhita and continue their adventures elsewhere. Or they stay on the Eye and get locked in a tense struggle for independence against Castor
  • I like the idea of Sleeper ditching Ethan when they disable the tracker but running into him again much later, perhaps after he's grown a bit as a person. What I like about their dynamic is the fun antagonism, but also the way Sleeper (especially a selfless and prosocial play of the character) seems to challenge Ethan's conception of what people are like just by existing. It's like they're an inspiration to him to try and be better, and that pisses him off - at the same time, they're not all that different when they meet in the game, both at the mercy of their corporate overlords. I would love to see this explored further, and Ethan being tested if they run into each other again. (Feel free to take inspiration from this Sleeper & Ankhita & Bliss ficlet I wrote!) I see now I forgot to request Sleeper & Ethan but as far as I'm aware, Solo: Sleeper should still work for this fill!
  • Something involving Sleeper's search for identity and getting an actual name, probably post-canon.
  • Isometric rooms of Sleeper's various sleeping quarters could be a nice way to show their progression and 'upgrade' in living conditions. Also just in general, isometric art or architectural drawings and floorplans of different locations around the Eye would be great. More art of the Eye!
  • Technical drawings of Sleeper anatomy!
  • Pressed botanicals with some fictional twists would be great to show off the Greenway!
  • I love logic grid puzzles for their unconventional storytelling potential: it's a fun way to add in-universe puzzlesolving to the gift
  • Interactive Fiction in the style of the game would be especially fun!
  • On the goofier side, here's another IF prompt: Citizen Sleeper Dating Simulator. That's it that's the prompt :3(
  • Ships I didn't think to request but would also be happy to receive: Peake/Sleeper, Bliss/Ankhita

The Red Strings Club

PROMPTS
  • Fun fact: a playthrough of this game is only ~3 hours long and can be watched here!
  • Cocktail or mocktail recipes seem perfect for this fandom! Characters or places summarised in their favourite drinks. Or, maybe a story told in cocktail recipes of Donovan discovering his 'gift'
  • I'd love a Murdle, conspiracy board or logic puzzle to represent Donovan & Brandeis working a case together. Maybe Brandeis is in trouble and comes to Donovan for help. Can I say casefic? :3
  • In-universe ads for implants
  • Something involving the supernatural: such as G0st or Donovan's whole soul thing. Maybe we can see how it originated?
  • I'd love something meaty set early in Donovan's and Brandeis's relationship: first meeting, first time working together, how Brandeis becomes more than just a client
  • I'd love some worldbuilding about PROXYMA or the world after Akara's takeover
  • Technical drawings about the tech or Akara would be really cool
  • I'd looove Interactive Fiction for this! The game is such a treat to play and I'd love to feel more of that same energy of making choices and digging down conversation trees. Maybe
  • For such a cybernetically advanced hacker, it's really interesting that Brandeis relies so much on old-school techniques (social engineering with a touch of cybernetically-enabled voice modulation). I'd love to see more of it!
  • You're absolutely welcome to bring in OCs or expand existing minor characters for more canon-typical bar convos!
  • There's a lot of juicy canon divergence material here. I got quite attached to Akara-184 and would love to see more of them as a permanent fixture of the Red Strings Club. Maybe that iteration of Akara becomes separate from the hivemind and develops independent thoughts and an agenda somehow?

Crossover Fandom

Requested fandoms: Invisible Inc, Citizen Sleeper, Red Strings Club, Tactical Breach Wizards

PROMPTS
  • A character from a different fandom walks into a bar - Donovan's bar. That's it :D
  • AIs from different cyberpunk games butting heads! What if the Invisible Inc. tries to pull a job involving that bar and Incognita or their hackers run up against Brandeis and Akara-184?
  • Cocktail recipe meets fanart! That Red Strings Club soul view of a character when you make them a drink? I'd love to see that for the crossover characters!

Original Work

PROMPTS
  • Unconventional format storytelling: maybe a cyborg/mechanic story told through scraps of diagnostic logs, repair schematics, or even a logic grid puzzle to simulate the puzzle-solving experience?
  • Mistrust warring with attraction and a certain undefinable gravitational pull! What I love about these noir and cyborg-related ships is how they all suggest having an agenda and being at cross-purposes to each other and how much it complicates any feelings that might otherwise more easily be indulged
  • Feel free to make it a little unhealthy - throw in a little blackmail or manipulation, a little pressure, a little push and pull
  • For the noir stuff: a snippet of a murder mystery or some other casefic flavouring would be great. The Homme/Femme Fatale are usually a client with a secret, can they be trusted? But you can also flip it on its head and have them come to the detective's aid when least expected
  • For the cyborg/mechanic I'd love something flavoured with transhumanism, ruminations on the human form (both literal and wink wink nudge nudge), ship-of-Theseus themes, and the theme of human(oid) ingenuity: as tight as corporate measures get, there will always be people finding shortcuts, tunneling through, jailbreaking things, cracking DRMs, increasing access... maybe some of them do it out of ideological convictions about freedom of technology and information, and some of them just want to turn a profit and make a living, or both, it's all good. In that same vein I love it when pragmatic and largely self-interested characters discover a cause and someone/something to protect, in spite of themselves. Some nice juicy low-hanging fruit would be an injured cyborg (who may or may not be an homme/femme fatale who knows) ending up at the doorstep of the other character in need for help.
A Lost Knight/Forest Dryad where the knight is also a robot? And why not?
  • For the more nature-themed ships: maybe something with a fairytale vibe? I love themes of nature being eternal and ruthless (but also restorative), a force of its own. I love themes with industrial or more modern characters and objects being overgrown and reclaimed by the forest.
  • For art and other media prompts: if you want to mix genres, some technical drawings + botanical art or pressed flowers could go so well together!

Invisible Inc

PROMPTS
  • First off, canon divergencies and wacky AUs (ranging from "for want of a nail" to "What if this character actually worked for the enemy") are all welcome to facilitate creative fills!
  • Action figure packaging bio: Maybe there was one for Rush during her auglete days and its price as a collectible skyrocketed after she became infamous as an anticorporate terrorist. Or maybe there was a release of an action figure for each of the PEIA following the blockbuster The Istanbul Four movie! Legend has it Central terminated the last agent who was caught with an Olivia collectible in their desk, but the action figure is still around somewhere.
  • Book/movie review: could be more reviews of The Istanbul Four or of The Data Vampires, Draco's edgy semiautobiographical bestseller!
  • Bureaucratic paperwork & workplace documentation: what does it look like for the megacorps? Alternately, what does it look like for Invisible Inc, who are totally a regular and legal freelance intelligence agency except the missions frequently have life or death stakes?
  • Instant messaging: informal agent message chains! (for security reasons they certainly have their own app for this)
  • Fan letters: the famous/infamous agents (e.g. Rush, Prism, Shalem, Draco) dealing with fanmail would be hilarious
  • In-universe RPF: ditto
  • True crime podcast transcript: I'd love to see some amateur podcasters reporting on isoteric clues that the PEIA were never executed and Gladstone is still out there somewhere, and Draco's stint as a serial killer is likewise perfect inspo for this
  • Transcript of sports match commentary: That Rush datalog? That was great, give me more
  • Logic grid puzzle: maybe the solution to ending a mission without losing anyone, or Banks trying to figure out how to ask Nika out on a date (because she would 100% overthink this)
  • Complaint form: could be for a corporate workplace, just something documenting the woes of Steve the Sysadmin or Spencer the Spec Ops. An agency complaint form would also be hilarious. Nika keeps kneecapping people who move in her peripheral vision. Sharp keeps magnetising office supplies. Tony keeps "upgrading" other agents' personal equipment with variable results. Internationale keeps leaving pamphlets and then lying badly about it. How very dare.
  • Conspiracy Board: SO MUCH potential. Is Olivia Gladstone still alive? Did the captured PEIA agents really get executed or is that just what the corps WANT you to believe? Who was really behind the "unscheduled demolitions" of the corporate HQs? Is a sentient AI running all of Subnet? Do the corps operate neural redaction black site prisons that none of the inmates who leave ever remember? Who or what is Shopcat?
  • Isometric rooms/cityscapes: I'd love to see what the agent rooms look like (if they live on-site, which some might), but a corporate isometric room could also be fun in a subtle corporate dystopian horror kind of way.
  • Floorplan/architectural style drawing: corporate facility layout and heist prep!!! Or, I'd love to see the agency HQ. Some fanon mentions the corridors are deliberately designed to be confusing.
  • Weapon schematics & tool schematics: I'd love to see drawings of what various augments and gizmos (cloaks, shocktraps, etc.) look like in detail! Opting into the visual equivalent of technobabble if that helps.
  • List of things character is not allowed to do: could be cheeky, like "Dr. Xu is not allowed to open up and 'tweak' company equipment", or more serious, in the style of corporate warnings a-la "DO NOT ALLOW NEAR TERMINALS"
  •  In-universe TTRPG: in which the agents blow off some steam. Shenanigans and minmaxing ensue. One of the agents brings loaded dice or otherwise gets way too deeply into it? Nika finally gets in touch with her emotions? Oh and I feel like Monst3r should be DM. I could also see Incognita being DM with disturbing results. (Maybe this kind of TTRPG campaign is a way for her to study human emotions?)
  • Mission report, medical report: big fan of big drama told through dry paperwork
  • Spreadsheets: expense report: maybe something post-canon showing the agency struggling to stay afloat?
  • Psychological evaluation: I have ideas for two flavours of this. One, kind of morbidly funny: Draco or Rush or Derek have to pass a psych eval to enlist for the PEIA. Nonsense ensues. Two: whump aftermath! Give me an agent who's been through the wringer and is now trying to prove that they're still fit for work! Could be canonical events like the aftermath of Olivia's capture and rescue, or the HQ raid, or a regular mission-gone-wrong in spectacular ways.
  • AITA and similar Reddit posts: "AITA for shocktrapping the kitchen cupboard to spite my annoying coworker?" At one point Central and/or Monst3r have to get involved because agents having petty fights on Reddit is becoming a security risk
  • Anything involving the Neural Uplink Interface: I'd just love to see this explored more and some of these out-there mediums feel perfect for it. How much do the agents share senses (if at all)? Do they share pain? Are there automatic limiters? Are there any issues with 'bleedover' of experiences and identity?
  • Agents covered in blood

Fandom-specific section

Invisible Inc.

This is my general exchange letter to give an idea of vibes, detailed likes, and some DNW clarifications! Please defer to the sign-up if there's any contradiction between that and this letter when it comes to the DNWs.

General likes
- whump and hurt/comfort. I prefer action-heavy whump and badass whumpees over whump that leans heavily into victimisation and helplessness
- Meetcutes and meet-uglies: characters who will end up as friends or lovers meeting under the worst circumstances or hating each other at first sight
- Relationships forged in fire, bonding over trauma, codependency, friendships and romantic/sexual relationships hard to categorise in terms of whether they're a good thing or not. Relationships as questionable coping mechanisms. When characters can't quite say what they are to each other except "someone important"!
- Relationships turning on a dime: strangers becoming allies, meet-uglies, a former enemy becoming the only one you can trust, "enemy of my enemy" trope.
- Reveals of every kind: identity, power reveals, etc! Any kind of dramatic story beat where relationships rapidly switch polarity or gain new context
- Dramatic, adrenaline-fuelled, high-stakes action. Characters in danger!
- plotty Gen fic, missionfic, casefic, pre-slash or pre-relationship, slow-burn vibes
- Robots, androids, cyborgs, artificial beings
- non-sexual intimacy
- intimacy that is sexual but not directly about sex (e.g. pillow talk, lazy mornings after, characters just fooling around in bed)
- Genre blends, such as putting something IN SPACE, or a touch of urban fantasy
- competency kink, identity kink, trust kink
- fluff with a touch of grimness or bittersweetness
- cloak-and-dagger, cat-and-mouse, spies, secrets
- wild nature, birds, rats, creepy crawlies, Cool Plants
- the aesthetic of ruin and tangled industrial locales

General DNWs
Gore, noncon, heavy crying in the context of physical whump, kidfic, noncanonical incest or underage, pregnancy of POV characters, focus on needles or surgery (especially cutting and IVs), focus on IRL modern era geopolitics, eye horror/trauma

NSFW likes
- I prefer levels of explicit detail typical for the M rating!
- Oral sex, handjobs or frottage and half/fully-clothed sex are great!
- For penetrative sex, if prep is called for, I prefer prep to not be a focus
- UST-ridden scenes that are only metaphorically sexual (e.g. reaching inside someone's mechanical parts to repair them...!)
- characters feeling conflicted, "but I shouldn't"
- Non-formalised BDSM or dom/sub dynamics
- Consensual but not safe or sane
- The Eroticism of the Machine
- not inherently kinky things (e.g. cyborg robotics repair) being written and perceived by the characters as something uncomfortably kinky

NSFW DNWs
Omegaverse, scat, watersports, bloodplay, rimming, fisting, stuffing, noncon (dubcon A-okay!), most kinks that would fall under degradation or humiliation (I would not consider light submissive behaviour to be this), bottoming angst as a major part of the story

Art likes
Different art styles, from realistic to stylised to pixel art or manga cover vibes, organic and sketchy styles, mixed media art. Dramatic poses, contrasting colours, hair, flying cloaks and coattails, wings, giving characters beautiful wings for no reason and with no explanation, just do it.

Art DNWs
Graphic sex, eye horror, needles and things going into skin (cyborg augments are ok)

DNW clarifications
-
Gore: I welcome actiony whump and beating the characters up, putting them within an inch of death, etc. I just don't want movie R-rated Tarantino-style gore.
- Kidfic: Flashbacks are fine, characters thinking about their time as kids is fine, characters thinking about being or having children is fine. What I don't want is the fairly specific fic type where adult characters are turned into kids (transformation or "what if all the blorbos were toddlers"-type AUs), or fics that are about acquiring a child and taking care of them.
- Focus on surgery and needles: Needles or surgery appearing in the story are fine (and often hard to avoid given I sometimes request doctors, etc.!) Mentions of people getting shots or being dosed with something are fine. Someone being threatened with a needle or surgery is fine. Cyborg machine-organic parts and high-tech augments are fine! I just don't want detailed descriptions of needles sliding into skin, plungers depressing, skin being cut open, tattoos being applied, things like that. It may be helpful to think of this DNW as DNW Detailed Descriptions of Invasive Things Happening to Skin On-Page.
- Focus on IRL modern era geopolitics: Having it be in the backdrop or part of the setting is fine. What I don't want is having it be a driving force of the plot.
- Noncon: I don't currently want unrequested noncon for these requests, but you're welcome to throw in some dubcon. For dubcon, I especially like unequal power dynamics, when one or both parties are under the influence, manipulation, etc.

General likes

- whump and hurt/comfort. I prefer action-heavy whump and badass whumpees over whump that leans heavily into victimisation and helplessness

Relationships as questionable coping mechanisms. When characters can't quite say what they are to each other except "someone important"!
- Relationships turning on a dime: When strangers turn to allies, or the person you can barely stand becomes the only one you can trust, or when circumstances change dramatically and you see someone in a brand new context, in a brand new light, or something changes and you question whether you ever really knew this person at all.
- Dramatic, adrenaline-fuelled, high-stakes action. Characters in danger!
- plotty Gen fic, missionfic, casefic, pre-slash or pre-relationship, slow-burn vibes
- sex scenes: not quite explicit but all about the vulnerability/emotions
- UST-ridden scenes that are only metaphorically sexual (e.g. reaching inside someone's mechanical parts to repair them...!)
- The Eroticism of the Machine(TM), wireplay, robots, androids, cyborgs, etc...
- non-sexual intimacy

Prisoner scenario likes
- "Less is more" is a very good motto with me when it comes to descriptions of pain, torture, suffering, etc.
- Psychological pressure, the depersonalisation of being completely in someone else's power. Show me the coping mechanisms in the prisoner, and show me those coping buckle and crack under the strain! :)
- On that note, I'm a sucker for various "white torture" methods, especially solitary confinement, sleep deprivation, disorientation. Methods that pit the prisoner's mind against them and wear down their sense of self
- On a more physically brutal note, beatings and waterboarding or water-dunking are great (don't quote me on this)
- Environments that are hostile in the sterile and impersonal way - being not just at the mercy of another person, but of the system, and the power that person represents
- I would prefer no actual noncon in the story, but it's fine if it's acknowledged and seen as a threat

My requests.
These are my fandom-specific prompts!

Citizen Sleeper (Video Game)
- I like Sleeper interacting with difficult and/or terrible people who may or may not be trying to become better people, and also Bliss. Who has done nothing wrong but her quest also requires you to put quite a bit of trust into her at at time when you're potentially very vulnerable and struggling
- For all these requested relationships, I prefer if they aren't completely hostile and antagonistic. I.e. I like a Sleeper who (despite themselves) still wants to see the best in Ethan, Ankhita, etc., even after being betrayed and disappointed. Similarly, I enjoy it if Ethan is Not Actually Dead even if the Maywick encounter does happen.
- Didn't think to nom it but if you want to throw in some Sleeper/Ankhita or Sleeper/Ethan, go for it! I'm all for the dramatic irony and juice. Or some DLC content and Sleeper/Peake if you like. (Sleeper can have a wholesome relationship. As a treat.)
- I would be hyped for anything involving the ending where Sleeper leaves the Eye with Bliss and Ankhita on the refitted Ambergris, leaning heavily into the Ankhita & Sleeper reconciliation, and Sleeper struggling to forgive her (while Bliss is potentially taking to Ankhita much more warmly). Maybe the A-plot is that at the start, the Ambergris is just supposed to be a way off the Eye (away from the corporate bounty hunters, especially if this is set just after Maywick), but by the end of the journey to the next stop, Sleeper changes their mind about leaving. Or doesn't! Who knows! You tell me.
- Alternately, if you prefer to keep the Eye as a setting, I would love the above scenario but as the backstory, with them now returning to the Eye (and all the feelings that may entail, especially if the Flux event happened).
- An ensemble cast thing with Sleeper, Ankhita, Bliss and Ethan onboard the Ambergris would be fun too. I love me a ragtag band of misfits several of whom used to be on very fraught and/or violent terms! But now they get along! Mostly.
- The characters dealing with a new threat to the Sleeper and rallying behind them to protect them from it (whether it's Essen-Arp hunting for them again or something else) would be great
- Sleeper Chooses An Actual Name: A Story of Freedom and Identity

Firefly (TV)
Give me some thoughtful Simon-centric nonsense and I'll be happy :)
- I would love something vaguely slow-burn-esque (as far as scope allows) for Simon/Mal
- I love the arc of the Tams and the relationship between them and Mal. Mal/Simon is my big Firefly OTP, but I don't have a preference for how shippy it should be - a lot of my own writing for them is basically tense pre-slash, and I'd looove to get something similar as a gift. But I also love slowburn getting together fic argh A;
- My big pitch for these two is that they are terrifyingly similar in their motivations and worldviews; Simon is a lot like a younger, more idealistic but already very angry version of Mal. I love that both of them are rabid about protecting the person/people they love and that is 95% of the reason they clash. I'm always down for more stories about that transition when they accept that the other person is an ally more than a threat, and the transition to found family or romance. I'm a sucker for stories where Simon risks his life to save Mal (or tries to, bless his lil noncombatant heart) or where Mal shows that Simon and River really are part of the crew. That's the good shit right there.
- Similarly good shit: The fun tension between Simon being a fish out of water and being really goddamn competent. I love fic where he gets to shine, and I love fic where he's understandably out of his depth. I love that he's a collected badass in Ariel when he's in his element and an awkward boob a lot of the rest of the time. (Speaking of which, if you want to throw some ND in there, be my guest!)
- Enthusiastic opt-in: explorations of setting-typical homophobia and internalised homophobia as long as it's not too heavy. I don't want heavy drama about bigotry and violence, but I'd love for these themes to be explored a bit. My own headcanon of Simon (and his interactions with Kaylee) is a heavily closeted gay man who on some level has probably known since early childhood that his romantic choices would be heavily scrutinised for being Respectable(TM) enough, just like everything else about him. He broke away from that when it was the only way to save River, but now he's free from those obligations and on the run, it would be interesting to see him process that change. At the same time, I think it's feasible to assume that the heavily rural and apparently quite conservative Christian culture of some of the Rim worlds (and by extension the culture of Mal, Zoe, Kaylee, etc.) isn't the very picture of progressivity, so it's not like the Firefly is some bastion of acceptance. (Mal's views on sex work certainly speak loudly there.) In short, I'd be down to see Simon and/or Mal struggling with the homophobia of the setting and the dangers of outing themselves as A) fugitive in precarious situation who's already highly dependent on the goodwill of people around him, B) backwater ship captain whose safety, not to mention that of his crew, demands on him commanding respect. However, the 'Verse is a big place of many cultures and views, so there's lots of room for characters' views to be challenged.
- Simon struggling between his loyalty to Mal and his loyalty to River will always be good, happy to read anytime

Original Works
[prompts added belatedly on March 15, sorry I forgot OTL)
- Deserted Space Station and Haunted Spaceship WB requests: I do love a good ghost story! I love the feeling of unease of exploring places that probably should be abandoned but you just can't be quite sure, the tension of piecing together something terrible that happened (or trying to). I also enjoy ambiguity over whether that something terrible had supernatural elements or not. Feel free to interpret 'haunted space ship' literally or metaphorically or even leave it ambiguous. I love the trope of highly rational characters struggling to find rational explanations for something unsettling or wrong they're seeing, and it getting to them just a little bit.
- I prefer 'less is more' and fear of the unknown over grisly detail. I love mood and atmosphere and vibes peppered with just the odd hint of unsettling specifics.
- Sunshine (2007) is a good example of a scifi haunted spaceship (sorta) story that I love and that just works
- I enjoy the 'apocalyptic log' trope and written records sometimes saying so little and yet so much. I think this could be really fun as a full log format fill, or a mix of log/discovered records and prose.
- On the art side: perhaps Found Footage of some kind? A snapshot, or snapshots, of something unsettling being captured on camera? I would also adore a minicomic but I realise that might be a bit too much in scope
- On the IF side: look IF is perfect for some spooky text-based haunted spaceship exploration. Making things interactive really can help it feel that much more visceral!
- For the space merc request, and celebrated mecha pilot/grumpy mecha mechanic: how about something action-adventurey? For these requests I'm all about the contrast of personalities between the focal character and others in the story. I also love the Jerk with a Heart of Gold trope. Maybe the space merc is a grumpy individualist who finds himself unable to refuse an offer for help. A space or exocolony twist on the classic "samurai/cowboy defends town from bandits" trope would be fun! With the pilot/mechanic I'm all about characters having no choice but to trust each other - the pilot trusting his support, the mechanic trusting the person who keeps the team safe. I enjoy characters who are used to flying solo (and have convinced themselves it's better this way) being forced to lean on others.
- HOWEVER, I would also be down for a more subversive twist on that ship. Maybe the relationship isn't good, actually, maybe one of them trusts the other and finds that trust betrayed. Maybe the drama of the story is about having to Leave The Mech, actually, and figure out who they are to each other outside of that pre-determined dynamic. Maybe the mechanic is up to no good and was sent to sabotage the pilot, or maybe the pilot ultimately fails to keep them safe. Feel free to toss in some MCD and tragedy if you feel like it.
- HOWEVER x2, mixing the requests could also be fun! A deserted space station or haunted spaceship feels like it would make for a very interesting and unconventional backdrop to a story centering the space merc or the pilot/mechanic ship! I find this very juicy and would absolutely love to see it. A setting like that could be particularly interesting if it places these characters in a situation that is uncomfortable and unfamiliar to them. For example, having to navigate the haunted/abandoned locale with a mecha that's really not made for this and not the right size/build/design, having to jury-rig things to make it work, everyone a little on edge from having to improvise so much. All good shit.

Thank you for reading my letter! :) This will have fandom-specific prompts for my 2025 Worldbuilding Exchange requests.

Invisible Inc
  • Please feel free to go wild with any of these freeforms. I'm interested in both agents (whether they're in the request/tagset or not TBH) and any OCs you can cook up: former Invisible Inc agents (KIAs?), corporate characters, people in the II world just trying to get by. In particular, I'd enjoy seeing other criminal groups that might have contact or even work with Invisible, how their MO might differ, and seeing Invisible through their perspective (e.g. Cyro's group in the groundbreaking classic Toothless by Linenpixel)
  •

  • It's common to interpret the ending as Incognita being in full control over everything, but is it actually that simple? Given her strikes on corp HQs, the corps are weakened but hardly gone. What does the aftermath of her takeover look like? What are her plans (if any) for the remnants of Invisible? Her relationship with Central post-takeover?
  •

  • I'd love to see pre-campaign (or post-canon for that matter! either is good) standard InvInc operations fleshed out a bit more. What do they do in the event of an agent being compromised? What protocols are there for rescued agents who've gone through brutal interrogation and/or deprogramming -- both on the side of physical/medical rehabilitation and psychological recovery, but also dealing with information leaks and shaken loyalties?
  •

  • As the most wanted anti-corporate terrorist on the planet, Central puts a great amount of trust into the people who become her agents. How is that trust earned? How does she find the right people? Also, how big are Invisible operations, anyway? How many people work for the agency (not necessarily all of them near HQ) and how much do they know? It takes a lot of people to keep an agency like this running, including basic admin, repairs and maintenance, custodian and janitor work, etc. How does Central manage such potential leaks of information?
  •

  • More nitty-gritty details of InvInc operations plz, particularly infiltration planning, prep, intel gathering, how they pick their targets, etc. Are they full mercenary, only taking contracts for the money and their own gradual intel-gathering advantage, or do they also work together with other anti-corporate groups even when they have little to gain from it in the short term?
  •

  • Another prompt for Incognita's takeover: what do the first hours (days, weeks) after the OMNI mainframe mission look like on the agency side? The corps have bigger problems to worry about now, but their HQ is still gone, most of their agents are still MIA (and maybe the team even took casualties during the OMNI mission itself!), and now they've lost their AI. I'd love to see in detail what it would look like for Invisible to establish a foothold in the immediate aftermath and scramble to bring some of their operations back -- perhaps with Monst3r's help?
  •

  • The missions we see are stealthy blitz strikes -- when the intruders teleport in and out, most missions probably take a handful of minutes. One, I'd love to see corporate anti-teleportation countermeasures as a source of drama/mission complication! Two, I'd love to see what other kinds of missions the agency does, if any. Do they do more classic intelligence work with long-term infiltration, double agents, sleeper agents, that kind of thing?
  •

  • How do the cyberpunk setting and the technology available affect all of the above? Does the existence of Neural Redaction have any implications for interrogation and detainment, or for post-trauma psychological care? On the flip side, a Severance (TV show)-style implant seems within scope, and would be a dramatic avenue for sleeper agents. So many possibilities...
  •

  • Teleportation, neural uplinks, and cloaking tech are all important aspects of Invisible's operations. I'd love to see more about when this kind of tech was first introduced and adopted for spywork, as well as what anti-corporate measures look like. The Invisible modding scene introduces things such as custom guards in the Advanced Guard Protocol mod who can do things like see cloaked agents with UV Spectrometers. It would be cool to see this explored more in fic, such as agents encountering anti-cloaking tech/guard implants/etc. for the first time.
  •

  • The Istanbul Run. We don't know much about it, and the things we know mainly come from corporate sources. Feel free to expand on how it went wrong, what was truth and what is fiction, whether Draco and Rush were actually executed or if the corps lied about that just like they lied about Central's execution. If you'd like to explore it post-factum through the eyes of someone like Prism trying to find out what happened, that would be great too!
  •

  • AI development: Incognita seems special. Is she? Are there more AIs like her? Has Invisible ever encountered one? (If you'd like to borrow ideas from the Programs Extended mod's Hostile AI feature... feel free hehe.)
  •

  • The Invisible Inc. setting is somewhat unconventional when it comes to cyberpunk settings in that the transition to corporate-ruled dystopia was fairly sudden, violent, and in recent history. Even the younger agents were born before the Resource Wars and before the megacorporations attained full global control! I'd love to see this explored a bit more in terms of how it might affect some typical genre staples. For example, is there more unrest and dissent as a result? Many people still remember the way it was before, after all!
  •

  • In-universe meta prompt: I would looove a custom datalog! A journal article, a scrap of an agent's past in some old paperwork or records or long-lost correspondence...
  •

  • Art prompt: it might be a tall order but I'd adore something like one of the loading screen posters in the game that contain messages: densely-packed with information, some projected elements from retinal HUDs and stuff!

Original Work - Cyberpunk

  • Cyberpunk fashion: One thing I'm super interested in is the kinds of material conditions and history that would give rise to some of the visual staples of the genre. For example: maybe neon and similarly hi-vis motifs started out as a way for rebels and insurgents to interfere with CCTV and facial recognition software. For example, bright neon signs can cause blow-out problems with photography, and bright patches of neon and dark colours could break up the human silhouette both to conventional vision and in the eyes of auto-targeting drones, smart CCTV, etc. Maybe this kind of trend starts out as something with a practical root but gets co-opted by the public, similarly to the way the punk and hippie aesthetics has spread beyond the rebellious countercultures they originated in. Is there still room for rebellion as expressed through fashion? What does that look like?
  •

  • Cyberpunk fashion: What kind of clothing constitutes a status symbol and why? What kind of materials and motifs might be in use? Also, if it's not too heavy a subject, I'm fascinated by the idea of widespread masking originating as preventative disease control praxis but having a secondary benefit in avoiding facial recognition in an age of corporate surveillance. I absolutely love the vibes of this music video of Hans Zimmer's Inception track Time that was filmed and released during the pandemic.
  •

  • Corporatocracy, social stratification, black markets and pirate radio stations... I enjoy the drama and tensions of the inherent contradictions that society in the cyberpunk genre (which is to say, all the contradictions of hyperindustrialist corporate late-stage capitalism) tumultuously exists with and rests upon. The tension between self-preservation and rebellion. In that vein, what form does organised dissent take in this society? A lot of classic cyberpunk stories are about the rugged individual, a lone wolf or amoral mercenary with not much of a cause: a single person vs. the system. I'd love to see you deconstruct this or take it a bit further. What does it look like for people to try to change this kind of world for the better?
  •

  • Feel free to borrow any of the conceptual prompts from my Invisible Inc request above since that is also a cyberpunk canon! I'm interested in those ideas whether or not they're attached to those specific blorbos and that specific universe.
  •

  • Art prompt: Fashion through time and use of technology in fashion, bodycam footage, CCTV POV (warped perspectives, obscured details, timestamps and algorithm outputs)
  •

  • In-universe meta prompt: Articles, editorials, in-universe debates and chat logs
------------------------------------------------------------
Tactical Breach Wizards
  • Death's Door (and semi-relatedly) Time Travel: I'd love to see more of this, holy hell. What that dimension even is, what it means. Did Dessa really meet her younger self, and is there really going to be a timeline where Dessa meets Jen with foreknowledge and a warning from a weird dream? Feel free to explore some of those alternate timelines in as much depth as you want! I also have an AU5K request you might find inspiring for this! :)
  •

  • The existence of multiple timelines seems all but explicit given the way foresight works, which also makes it a little grim... in a way, did all those alternate bad timelines (or the better ones for that matter) still really happen? That seems like the kind of thing that would drive a Seer to a breakdown, alright...
  •

  • We don't see that much of the Druid Mafia but I would love to see more of them: what their methods and above all their goals are. Is their connection with nature only a means to an end, or is it also part of their ideology (if they have one)? I'd also love to see you delve into Rion's history with them a bit more, or Dessa, for that matter, who seems to have worked with all sorts.
  •

  • The "anxiety dream" thing that's textually a side effect of Zan's Craft is a neat and convenient excuse for some "character vs. own demons" storytelling, but I"d love to see it explored more beyond the one-scene wonders we get in the game. I would love to see this taken further with any of the requested characters. Do they lose this "ability" when they part ways with Zan, and do they miss it? For Jen: since she has a low-power version of Zan's Craft due to the vessel he gifted her, I'd love to see her deal with precognition as a source of drama (or shenanigans, or whatever you're in the mood for).
  •

  • Unlocking the Craft: We get the main cast's Unlocking stories but I would both love to see some more of this for other characters (e.g. Liv's team), or for any OCs you can think of interesting powers for. Canon divergent AUs (perhaps in the format of seer visions) of various alternate ways the cast could have Unlocked (or not Unlocked!) their power would also be great!
  •

  • I enjoy and welcome Interactive Fiction (e.g. AO3 format or on Twine, etc.) and it feels like another Anxiety Dream would work very well in IF format, just saying :3
  •

  • Art prompt: MORE CONFIDENCE OUTFITS. Need I say more? Also, additional power unlocks and what they look like!
  •

  • In-universe meta prompt: Article excerpts or newspaper clippings would be so fun!

Dear FIAB creator,

Thank you for creating for me! These are my prompts!

Note: I have some redundancies in my medium opt-ins, such as opting into "Any" alongside specific mediums in that category. What this means is that the specific mediums are those I can think of that would be particularly cool for this fandom, but  you don't need to limit yourself if you have an idea for a different one.

General note: I've written a ton of fic for this fandom but please don't let that intimidate you or feel like you need to read it or match my headcanons or whatever! :) I'm desperate for some fresh takes over here !

- Spirit/dream realm shenanigans. Explorations of trauma, memory & identity loss. History repeating itself.
- The game shows the way the Hunger affects the KC, but doesn't seem to go into whether the curse has any other effects on their personality/psyche.
- Whump and h/c welcome.
- Random KC/Gann idea: I've always been tickled by the thought of the KC being attracted to Gann-the-Spirit-Shaman-constantly-hanging-out-with-spirits and not knowing if it's romantic/sexual in nature or the Spirit Eater being hungry
- I like the idea that the KC got badly burned by Bishop and is now a lot more cautious in any new relationship. They sought YOLO-esque comfort in crisis when they thought they wouldn't live to see the next year once before and they regretted it. (That said, I don't have a preference for the gender of the KC in the story or requested ships)
- Some of my favourite things about the story are the way the strings of fate tie it all together. The connection between you and Akachi, Akachi's companions and you. The way you end up retreading his footsteps, only partially by choice.
- For the Worldbuilding nom, what about something that explores the life (and death) of a previous Spirit Eater, before the KC came along? 8) Since the KC canonically still has some access to the memories of previous Spirit Eaters, you could still connect this to the main plot if you wanted, such as tapping into a previous Spirit Eater's memories to overcome a situation

Prompts:
- Something along the lines of the River Tam Sessions?
- Give me 5 or 10k of thoughtful Simon-centric nonsense and I'll be happy :)
- I would love something vaguely slow-burn-esque (as far as scope allows) for Simon/Mal
- I love the arc of the Tams and the relationship between them and Mal. Mal/Simon is my big Firefly OTP, but I don't have a preference for how shippy it should be - a lot of my own writing for them is basically tense pre-slash, and I'd looove to get something similar as a gift. But I also love slowburn getting together fic argh A;
- My big pitch for these two is that they are terrifyingly similar in their motivations and worldviews; Simon is a lot like a younger, more idealistic but already very angry version of Mal.
At the same time, I think it's feasible to assume that the heavily rural and apparently quite conservative Christian culture of some of the Rim worlds (and by extension the culture of Mal, Zoe, Kaylee, etc.) isn't very progressivity, so it's not like the Firefly is some bastion of acceptance.
- Simon struggling between his loyalty to Mal and his loyalty to River will always be good, happy to read thousands of words of that anytime :3

Prompts:
- I'm enamoured with the part of the game when you're actively fleeing your old corporate masters, represented by bounty hunters who are not entirely free themselves. The song and dance between the Sleeper and Ethan, the way Ethan drags the capture out, his own clear self-loathing and host of issues? It's great, can we have more of that?
- Canon Divergence: What if Ethan had actually successfully taken Sleeper off the Eye and was journeying back to Essen-Arp with the Sleeper in tow? Without Maywick, and just him and the Sleeper, and maybe struggling to stay dedicated to his plan with even more time spent around Sleeper and coming to see them unavoidably as a person. Or with Maywick, who is far more ruthless towards Sleeper and would be the one calling the shots. What I really want from this character combination is a scenario where Ethan's resolve cracks and he takes Sleeper's side, and he maybe even redeems himself a little (whether Sleeper can ever trust him or forgive him is a very different question).
- Sleeper has no luck with Feng disabling the tracker, or Feng failed, or Ethan finds out about that subquest
- Ethan finally tracks down Sleeper but they have become part of the mushroom sentient loci!
- Magical AU where Ethan is a bit less of a bastard and actually becomes Sleeper's bodyguard
- An AU where things end much differently, for better or worse. Maybe the Hunter gets the Sleeper, or Ankhita talks things out with Ashton after all, or Ethan gets exactly what he wants (and has the chance to regret it)
- Sleeper getting hacked or catching malware while exploring the netspace, and another character helping them deal with it
- Though if the other character is Ethan, what if he's the one who tried to hack Sleeper to get them cooperative?
- Sleeper getting hacked by Castor in canon was terrifying! Let's have more similar moments! :) More of Castor or a similar character using Sleeper's own vulnerabilities to threaten someone they care about!
- I would prefer this one to have the same overall hopeful tone as the game.

- FIXIT-FIC!
- Something FLUFFY and CUTE and SWEET! Something to soothe the pain of the tragedy that is this story!
How did he start working with them, and was there a time when Donovan was on better terms with them?

- Odd friendships, characters reluctantly building trust, cultural differences, "light is not good" and "dark is not evil" tropes when applied to the moredhel and eledhel, fish out of water trope (whether it's Gorath in the middle of a bustling human city or Owyn struggling to stay alive in the Northlands), subtle/understated whump and angst.
- "Missing scene" style things set during various points of the story. Pre-canon, such as what Gorath went through before he decided that warning the Kingdom was the only way to stop this war. Post-canon, focusing on the fallout of the events under Sethanon. In the universe lore, dark elves and light elves are essentially cut from the same cloth, what would this look like explored in depth with regards to Gorath? The Great Uprising was only ten years ago, in recent memory - James and Locky were barely teenagers at the time, while Gorath witnessed an engineered massacre of his people and his clan, thrown into the grinder to power the false prophet Murmandamus. The story never quite unpacks all this baggage between them, and barely addresses the aggression of the moredhel in the context of them being a displaced people driven to the Northlands by the Kingdom's expansion, but what if it did? Owyn is one of the more dangerous people in the Kingdom by the time the game is over and none of the others quite know what to do with him. As per the lead game writer, [the sequel that never got made] would have "continued the storyline about Owyn's eventual rise as the magical advisor to the Kingdom of the Isles (to be told over two games) serving in a capacity as both magician and spymaster". Last prompt but not least, ending fixit!

It might be helpful to say that Immemorial, Introductory Antimemetics and Fresh Hell are among my favourite of the qntm Antimemetics stories. There's something deeply compelling about these fairly short, self-contained narratives of people having to come to terms with some horrifying antimemetic SCP and struggle to survive (with varying results). The third person limited POV, and the fact that the reader experiences the mindfuckery right alongside the characters, is also incredible. Care to write something in a similar vein?
- Another reason I love Immemorial and Introductory Antimemetics is that they're both about scientists and the legacy of knowledge - the desperate, hopeless nobility of doing your part to increase the sum of understanding for humankind. Even if you yourself are forgotten, even if your own contribution was underwhelming and not particularly exciting and only useful insofar as it contributed to the process of elimination. Kim survives his encounter with Alastair Grey chiefly because a string of unfortunates before him found out what didn't work, and wrote it down, solely so someone else in the future would be able to do better. In turn, Eli Moreno encounters a monument that is the sole remaining legacy of a once-mighty civilization. It is incredibly chilling and more than a little tragic and deeply humbling.
- Canon has a lot of unexplored material there that is only eerily alluded to - the sheer size the Foundation's division used to have, the other organisations around the world of whom no trace remains except that it can be inferred, indirectly, that they used to be there. Would you like to explore what some of them - these casualties of past Antimemetics Wars - might have looked like?
- A lot of antimemetic SCPs have an effect on memory, but some aspects of SCP-3125 have an effect on free will
- We see some of the aftermath of characters recovering from hypnosis in canon, after SCP-3125 is defeated. Care to do more with this and explore it further? :) Whether it's a more detailed look than what we see in the Epilogue/Champions of Nothing, or a different incident prior to the emergence of SCP-3125

Prompts:
-
A fusion or crossover of the two games' storylines would be extremely fun, I think! In particular, the whole setting of Red Strings Club could be pretty seamlessly transplanted into the world of CS with minor adjustments.
- Sleeper being on the run from Essen-Arp (in general, or specifically Ethan or Maywick) and taking refuge with Donovan & Co.
- Akara-184 encountering Sleeper and, maybe, attempting to hijack them?
- Donovan being in friendly competition or cooperation with the other bars on the Eye, such as Tala's bar
- Donovan vs. Castor
- How would the Flux affect augments?
- "Characters from CS show up at Donovan's bar and get the Donovan treatment" could be a fantastic premise for a crossover. Maybe Sleeper is missing and various characters that Sleeper knows in various capacities show up at Donovan's bar, and Donovan has to figure out who is searching for Sleeper for what purpose, and whether he should share what he knows or not

AO3 username: Hekateras

General likes
Slice-of-life, hurt/comfort, humour and banter, understated whump (physical and/or emotional), characters being in danger, dysfunctional found family dynamics, confusing polyamory.

General DNWs
Explicit sex, noncon, kidfic, Omegaverse, scat, excessive medical details, pregnancy, genderbending, cold war AUs, whump that is too focused on victimisation, trans or nonbinary headcanons that include medical details (specifically mentions of needles or surgery), deliberately cracky headcanons

Treats are welcome. Assignments fulfilled as art are also welcome where specified in the signup. I have no specific art prompts but the above likes and DNWs apply to them as well, you can't really go wrong then.

On to the requests!

Fandom: Invisible Inc
Requested characters: Tony Xu, Brian Decker, Maria "Internationale" Valdes, Alex "Sharp" McTeague
Gift must feature one or more of selected characters (giver's choice)

Copy-paste of Optional Details

Prompts:
Moments set during campaign between missions. Pre-canon, exploring characters interacting with each other before they were all working for the same agency. (E.g. Decker still working as K&O Chief of Security and chasing Internationale, Sharp running into someone on a bounty hunting job, etc.) Post-canon, exploring the fallout of the main campaign. Any and all "how Central hired this character" stories. Canon divergence AUs. AUs that alter the setting in an interesting way (steampunk AU? Superpowers AU? Bring it on).

Likes: Slice-of-life, hurt/comfort, humour, subtle and understated whump (physical or emotional), cyberpunk dystopian horror, transhumanism themes, dysfunctional found family dynamics, confusing polyamory. Gen and shippy are both welcome.
Ships I would enjoy seeing: Dr. Xu/Decker (my OTP), Decker/Internationale, Dr. Xu/Sharp, Internationale/Shalem, Decker/Dr. Xu/Internationale ( ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )
DNWs: Explicit sex, noncon, kidfic, A/B/O, excessive medical details, pregnancy, genderbending, excessive whump*. Cold war AUs.

Fics where the requested character makes an appearance but the focus is a different character (Olivia, Monst3r, Shopcat, you name it) are a-ok too

Treats welcome.
In the letter I've included resources that will help with characterisation, as this game likes to hide its lore behind RNG and unlockables.

Dear Yuletide Writer Letter:

Here are some resources that may help, including places to look up canon content.
Q: What is "excessive" whump and why is subtle whump listed among my likes?
A: It means I'm annoyingly picky. I love to see characters getting hurt, physically and emotionally, love to see them traumatised and go through shit, but I don't like the style so much overt whump fic seems to be written in, with a strong focus on characters whimpering and being in pain. I'm more of a "less is more" person when it comes to whump.

Crossovers and fusion with other thematically-fitting content (whether more mission or heist-based or other cyberpunk media) are welcome!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fandom: Neverwinter Nights 2
Requested characters: Knight-Captain, Kaelyn the Dove, Safiya, Gannayev-of-Dreams
Gift must feature one or more of selected characters (giver's choice)

Copy-paste of Optional Details

Prompts: Spirit/dream realm shenanigans. Explorations of trauma, memory & identity loss. History repeating itself. Stolen moments. The Knight-Captain's previous history catching up with their current exploits in Rashemen. The companions learning more about the KC's past and the war against the King of Shadows. One idea I can't shake is some bard or group of actors coming to town to present the events of NWN2 in a performance with a LOT of creative liberties taken, especially if the KC's companions don't know about that backstory yet. a Conveniently Mulsantir has a theater...

Likes: Female Knight-Captain, especially if they're one of the less charismatic and popular races. Dysfunctional KC/Bishop as NWN2-era backstory. I used to be a KC/Gann shipper and still am but KC/Safiya or KC/Kaelyn would also be super interesting to see. Whump and h/c welcome. Darkfic welcome. "Bad ending"/monstrous Spirit-Eater stuff welcome. Tragic romances that end badly are welcome too.
DNWs: Explicit sex, kidfic, A/B/O, excessive medical details, pregnancy

Dear Yuletide Writer Letter:
Not much to add, other that I have no real nopes when it comes to other characters appearing. If the fic is just Gann and his mom, or Safiya and the Founder, or with a heavy focus on Akachi and the Founder with the KC tangential, that's all perfectly fine. I'll just be happy to revisit this story.

Fandom: Betrayal at Krondor
Requested characters:
Gift must feature one or more of selected characters (giver's choice)

Copy-paste of Optional Details

Likes: Odd friendships, characters reluctantly building trust, cultural differences, "light is not good" and "dark is not evil" tropes when applied to the moredhel and eledhel, fish out of water trope (whether it's Gorath in the middle of a bustling human city or Owyn struggling to stay alive in the Northlands), subtle/understated whump and angst.
DNWs: Noncon, darkfic, graphic torture, overt romantic relationships between the cast (one-sided or yearning is A-ok).

Treats welcome.

Dear Yuletide Writer Letter:

This is the first fandom I was ever obsessed with and it's so obscure by now that I have no idea how to request anything for it. But I'll try. You might be familiar with the game, or with the books the game is based on, or with the novelisation that is based on the game that is based on the books. If so, good luck.

Prompts:
"Missing scene" style things set during various points of the story.
